About Our Founder

Adriana Brusi

Managing Director

Born and raised in Hong Kong – Adriana initially developed her competitive streak in the worlds of gymnastics and swimming, making the Asia Pacific Team at age 12.

Turning her attention to a passion for the arts, by 16 she was dubbed the youngest director in Hong Kong – earning a grant that would see her working with the Youth Arts Festival and helping to get children off the streets, before broadening her horizons while backpacking around the UK and Europe at 17. Her deep sense of empathy and human compassion started with volunteering in orphanages in Hong Kong from the age of 12 after school leading to her continued acts of service with her Board Advisory role with TLC for Kids today.

She discovered her love for all things tech, and an early obsession with HTML coding led to Adriana building the coolest “MySpace” pages for her friends (Hi Tom). A passion that would also have an impact on her future businesses.

However, her entrepreneurial flare was truly awakened in the kitchens and dining rooms of the hospitality industry, places like the famous Harry Ramsdens, and then expanded through exposure to the entrepreneurial network of Roger Hamiliton and Wealth Dynamics.

All of this led to a career expertise in lead generation and business development mixed with hotel management (Ramada, Accor, Mirvac), event management, nightclubs and even launching and running her own restaurants.

What Adriana learned from this experience, was how to build strong teams focused on creating an electric atmosphere, or “lead generation through vibe,” a strategy which would inform her deep understanding of audience engagement and lay the foundation for what was to come.

Her events business, Event Negotiators, thrived and expanded as an event management engine, bringing household names to Australia such as Sir Richard Branson, Tim Ferriss, Susan Sarandon, Jane Seymour, Goldie Hawn and more.

This would also lead to her founding a separate digital media company; curating websites that not only moved people from logic to emotion, but also informed clients on how the structure and design of a site impacts their bottom line directly. This helped their websites to convert more effectively, their events to fill more easily, and rather satisfyingly, meant that these people became lifelong clients.

Today, Adriana Brusi is a single mother of two amazing girls, and the founder and MD of Crowds Now, an innovative new technology platform that connects businesses with “on-demand” crowds of their ideal customers, provides those crowds with what just may be the best job in the world, all while making the brand experience more enjoyable for everyday consumers.

  • 1Be authentic and genuine. People buy from people they trust and once you lose trust you don’t ever get it back.
  • 2Don’t gossip. Gossip is like a virus, a contamination – do not engage in any kind of toxic behaviour, it only dilutes you and your brand.
  • 3I view life like a bow and arrow philosophy – in order to be propelled forward to be the best version of yourself, you first need to be pulled back.
  • 4Treat every business you work in, whether employed or contracted, as if it was your own, as if every decision you make affects your own bottom line.
  • 5Dress for the role you want; not for the role you’re in.
  • 6No one is beneath you; if you talk to anyone like they are somehow less than you then that speaks volumes about your behaviour and who you are as a person
  • 7Do not tolerate bullying whether it is directly happening to you or indirectly occurring to someone you know. Just because it doesn’t affect your life doesn’t mean it’s not happening and doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it.
  • 8Believe in yourself. Don’t let anyone dim your light and make you believe you can’t achieve something. You can do ANYTHING you want – back yourself!
  • 9Do one thing every day that is a step closer to your goal – and one day you’ll turn around and realise you’ve reached your destination.
  • 10You are not too much, you will never be too much and the very idea is preposterous!! Do not come down off the top shelf just so someone can reach you!!
